Mount Abu is an extremely gorgeous hill station in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan. It is positioned 1200 m above sea level. Mount Abu is located in the Sirohi district of Rajasthan in western India.  According to the 2011 census, it is the third least populated area of ​​Rajasthan. It is bounded by Jalore in the west, Pali in the north, Udaipur in the east, and Banas Kanth district in the south. All these areas are full of stones and forests. The southern and south-eastern part of this district lies between the Aravalli mountain range and Mount Abu, which is a completely mountainous area. Here is the western Banas River and Abu Road. The western and northern areas of the district are relatively dry.

Nakki Lake

Nakki Lake is one of the important attractions of Mount Abu. This is a religious and ancient lake. Gau Mukha Mandir

This temple is also an ancient pilgrimage center. It is believed that Guru Vashistha performed a yajna at this place, which resulted in the birth of four large Rajput clans. There is another place here which is known as Agni Kund. According to the belief, Guru Vashistha created those four Rajput clans by performing a yajna in this kund.

Wildlife Sanctuary

It is situated in the middle of the Aravalli mountain range. In 1980, it was given the status of Wildlife Sanctuary. It is spread over an area of ​​about 288 square kilometers. Various types of vegetation are seen at this place. Wild cat, bear, sparrow, hyena, Indian fox, etc. are found in this sanctuary. Apart from this, about 250 different types of birds are found.

Achalgarh

It is basically a fort and the name of an ancient state. This fort was built by the king of the Parmar dynasty. In 1452, King Maharaja Kumbha of Mewar got it rebuilt and named it Achalgarh. This fort is surrounded by beautiful views all around. The main attraction of this fort is the Lord Shiva 'Achaleshwar Mahadev' temple located here. It is a center of attraction for those visiting Mount Abu.

Trevor Tank

This place is known as 'Crocodile Park'. It is situated at a distance of 5 km from Mount Abu. This is the main picnic spot. Many crocodiles are seen resting on the stones at this place. Apart from this, a black bear is also seen here.
