Pahalgam, one of the most popular hill stations of Indian Union Territory Jammu and Kashmir, located 95km from Srinagar at a height of 7200ft. Basically, Pahalgam is the head quarter of the five tehsils situated at Anantnag and this place lies onto the banks of Lidder River heading 45 kilometers from Anantnag. This place is often visited by tourists during the months of July to August as this hill station is associated with the annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath Yatra. Even, the initial point of the Amarnath yatra is located at ‘Chandanwari’, situated approximately 16km from Pahalgam. Pahalgam has a central position in the Lidder Valley and thus the climate prevail over there is long and cold winter and short mild summer.

How to reach

The simplest way to reach the Pahalgam hill station is taking the mini travelling bus or car ahead after landing to the Srinagar city. As this place is directly linked to the Srinagar.
